The 0.4.4 version string was appearing in the "Settings" page because
you had hard coded it that way. :)  You were actually running the
0.4.5 rpm.  But that bug is fixed.

For the 500 errors, could you reproduce them and then send me your
/var/log/httpd/error_log so I can see the exception in the log file?
