Hi John,
Ubuntu does not use a firewall by default.  Fedora does.  It will
block access to the iiab-server and I believe the web server unless
you reconfigure or disable it.  It may only effect remote access - ie,
you may still be able to access the service from a web browser running
on the localhost.
