Braddock,

now that we know that George has ogg versions of KA and noticing that you have both webm and h.264 versions, can you suggest how to add ogg and describe the method by which iiab determines which video format to use?

Tim

Curt,
It was all good - it forced me kicking and screaming to get a release update out for School Server.

I'll get you a current dataset (which is almost what you sent out) and we can talk about curating it a bit.

That's mostly my fault. I received the latest 'work-in-progress' from
Braddock to try to work on and passed on copies to those who asked for
them without really thinking about how they might be used.

I am a little torn though, because neither version is perfect at this
point and the latest now-effectively-released version does have some
features which make it better (in particular, full-text wikipedia search).

Ideally there would have been more testing done, but I'm not sure
sending the older version would have been the better option, given that
it seems likely we'll be able to address the problems at the three
schools where it's been deployed. Admittedly, it would have saved Tim
(and George?) some headaches as they tried to debug the mismatched
  software/dataset.

In any case, I didn't mean to cause any trouble or annoyance. If I did,
I apologize for that. I believe Tim has already addressed most of the
issues with the software/dataset mismatch, missing symlink, etc in
XSCE. More clearly definied versioning for IIAB is certainly an
oft-noted good idea and something I think we should think about going
  forward.

  Cheers,
  Curt
